Booking Terms & Conditions

You are the skipper and in command of the boat, you are ultimately responsible for the safety of the crew and vessel. You make the final decision on when the situation is beyond, you, your crew or the boats capabilities. If any of the above become apparent you must return the vessel back to base.
Lifejackets / Buoyancy aids provided, must be worn at all times.
Photo ID must be produced by the skipper.
Boat will be checked prior to departure and on return.
When approaching Regal Pass Jetty do not berth unless instructed to do so by a member of staff. If no-one is there to meet you, stand-off and make contact with a member of staff via mobile.
Any damage caused will be charged accordingly, including revenue loss during repair.
You must report, at once via telephone to the office, if the boat strikes any object. Only under instruction by a member of staff should the engine be restarted and then only after a propeller check. Upon restart check the water “Tell Tail” is coming out the the rear of the engine, to ensure the water is cooling the engine.
Notify staff of any damage or equipment needing attention.
You must report any damage to the lifejackets / buoyancy aids.
Do not open or tamper with the engine or the internal controls at any time.
Obey the speed limits and have consideration for other water users.
Skippers must keep a sharp ear and eye on the weather at all times.
Skippers must be aware of other vessels and objects in the water.
Skippers must respect other vessels, keeping a safe distance (20 metres) you should pass oncoming vessels (Port to Port) your left side to their left side. Stay well clear of larger vessels which may not easily manoeuvre.
Skipper should always make their intentions clear to other vessels when manoeuvring, particular attention should be observed when coming alongside or docking.
A skipper will not allow their boat within 5 metres of a navigation marker.
No docking or coming ashore unless on a public jetty, except in case of emergency.
Pets are allowed but you are responsible for their behaviour and must clean up any accidents..
Great care should be taken with any glass products allowed onboard.
No smoking near fuel tanks or whilst in command of the boat.
No person under 18 years shall be in command of the boat at any time.
The boat is not a toy and must be in the hands of a trained skipper at all times.
Minimum boat hire is 4 hours.
Return time is the time you are off the boat and have removed and returned gear.
Late returns are not acceptable except in unavoidable circumstances and will be charged accordingly.
Hours booked must be settled prior to departure.
You must remove all equipment and rubbish at the end of your trip.
A cleaning fee will be applied for any boat left back in an unacceptable condition.
We reserve the right to refuse any rental booked at any time without question or reason.
We reserve the right to change, add or alter the terms and conditions at any time.
These boats are not to be used for any purpose except pleasure.
You must obey all directions from Erne Boat Hire Staff, Lough Warden, Coast Guard and RNLI life-boat crews.
Bookings are non-refundable. In the exceptional case were the operator cancels due to unsafe weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances the customer will receive a credit or rescheduled booking.
